Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

 

Students learn how to recognize a life threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI's Basic Life Support, BLS for healthcare providers and professional rescuers, has been approved for training emergency medical service personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.

 

ASHI resuscitation training programs are equivalent to the CPR training programs developed and administered by the American Heart Association,® Inc. (AHA) and the American National Red Cross (ARC). (ARC price ranges between $70 and $92 as of 12/12/2023) (AHA is $34 blended and $25-$45 for the hands on portion, purchased separately). Neither offer any discounts.

ASHI resuscitation training programs are developed and administered by HSI, which is a nationally accredited organization of the Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). CAPCE is the national accrediting body for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) continuing education courses and course providers. ASHI BLS is CAPCE approved and the program is widely accepted in more than 150 healthcare-related occupations.
